Milano Design Week 2024 – 5Vie

“XI edition for the 5Vie district, which this year presents itself – at the Salone del Mobile in Milan (April 15-21, 2024) – with many new events not to be missed. In the most suggestive area of the historic center, which extends between Corso Magenta, Sant’Ambrogio, and the Colonne di San Lorenzo, designer pieces and sophisticated craftsmanship return to be the true protagonists, amidst art, creativity, and experimentation.

“Unlimited Design Orchestra” is the chosen theme for this 2024 edition, aiming to ideally trace in music the models to be inspired by for a design increasingly focused on a human and sensitive dimension, following the suggestive values that led to the birth of Humanism. Immersive exhibitions, visionary installations, dreamy historic locations, and scenic setups, like Design Variations curated by Mosca Partners. ADRENALINA – exhibition
Adrenalina, a brand born in 1999 with the aim of reinterpreting the world of upholstered furniture in a more modern key, presents the project “Adrenalina meets Casa Museo Remo Brindisi” within the collective exhibition Design Variations, with a setup of black and white gigantographies.

AMPM – new collections
The design brand AMPM, part of the La Redoute group, with the event Urban Nomadic, presents for the first time internationally a selection of its spring-summer 2024 collection, including furniture, home textiles, and accessories.

ARTEMEST – exhibition
Artemest presents the second edition of the project “L’Appartamento” within the charming Residenza Vignale. Six creative studios furnish its spaces choosing from the many artifacts made by Italian artists and craftsmen, available for sale on Artemest.

CASA ORNELLA – new collections
Design meets sensuality and irony in Casa Ornella, the new interior project by designer Maria Vittoria Paggini rediscovering the home as a place of intimacy, journeying through vibrant color schemes and unusual decorations with furniture and artworks from various designers and artists.

DARIA DAZZAN – new collections
Artist Daria Dazzan opens her studio to the public, presenting her new collection of ceramic vases with vivid colors and intricate enamel layering, inspired by her background as a textile designer for major fashion names.

Telling the impact time has on humans and the fruits of their labor through wood is the aim of the new partnership between Acetaia Giusti and David Dolcini, showcasing his wooden artifacts with a strong sculptural connotation in the Timemade project.

ETHIMO – exhibition
Ethimo’s historic showroom on Corso Magenta hosts “Blooming Stories”: a captivating display featuring some of the company’s great classics adorned with floral prints from Mantero 1902 and botanical motifs from its precious archive.

GAETANO PESCE – exhibition
Exploring Gaetano Pesce’s monograph “Nice to See You” unveils about thirty mostly unpublished works by the renowned Italian architect, artist, and designer, many created between 2023 and 2024. His installation “L’Uomo Stanco” is set up outside the venue.

GUFRAM – exhibition
The collaboration between Gufram and Motionitalia, an Italian company specializing in relaxation mechanisms for armchairs and sofas, gives rise to Gufram in Motion. With the title “La Bocca è mobile,” the iconic Bocca® sofa – radical icon designed by Studio65 in 1971 for Gufram – comes to life for the first time.

L’Opificio announces its first collaboration with the duo Zanellato/Bortotto, presenting the new Filigrana textile collection inspired by traditional Murano glass techniques reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
