Casalgrande Padana – new releases at MDW 2024

Results of research and experimentation, the latest collections have been inspired by nature’s most elegant materials and have taken porcelain stoneware towards new design horizons.

Casalgrande Padana’s new releases introduced during Milano Design week focus on functionality and high-quality aesthetics. In its new showroom in Brera (Piazza San Marco 1, Milan) and its stand within the pavilions of the Fiera di Milano (Rho), the Emilia-based company launched its latest releases, which proved to be perfectly in line with the latest home and furniture trends.

PIETRA TIBURTINA

Pietra Tiburtina, an elegant and eye-catching porcelain stoneware collection, stands out among the new releases with its reinterpretation of tradition and undisputed modernity. The stone which built Ancient Rome is back to show off all of its natural appeal, but now features the finest technical qualities. Extracted from the caves of the ancient Tibur, travertine can be seen in the grandeur of the Roman Imperial era and the opulence of Baroque architecture.

Versatile and dynamic, the Pietra Tiburtina collection was inspired by Italian heritage, combining the elegance of the rock’s surface with the strength and resistance of porcelain stoneware. The line also comes in a wide range of colors—Aventino, Campidoglio, Celio and Palatino—and various finishes which give the porcelain stoneware slabs an even more realistic and accurate look. Extremely versatile, it is perfect both for floor and wall use and can be utilized in indoor and outdoor spaces.

PROJECT WOOD

Project Wood is a new and captivating porcelain stoneware collection developed in collaboration with SBGA Blengini Ghiradelli which was inspired by the warmth of beech wood and offers a modern “idea of wellness”.

Project Wood Collection IMM.03 With a balanced combination of color and design, it redefines the concept of wooden surfaces. Rare and fine woods which come in warm tones and a range of bright colors reinterpret the countless variations of the most natural materials and give life to contemporary design solutions. It comes in five warm tones—Mesola, Migliarino, Paneveggio, Pollino and Quarto—and the surfaces emphasize the various grain and veining of the wood to provide a textural and expressive sense of domestic comfort.

This line has been designed with a natural surface and also comes in a non-slip outdoor version. The latter is a solution which can both be screed on with adhesive—perfect for balconies, patios, terraces, verandas, and poolsides—and applied directly to turf, gravel, or sand. Making it perfect for creating practical walkways which you can step on right away.

STONETECH

Inspired by the rocks of the Central Alps, the Stonetech collection offers a range of full-body technical porcelain stoneware tiles. The latest in material technology and the result of the research and experimentation which has always set Casalgrande Padana apart, it faithfully reproduces the texture and effects of the Alpine rocks. Marble, quartz, and feldspar fragments of different sizes casually combine and become one within the slab.

The line comes in five colors —Stonewhite, Stonegrey, Stonepearl, Stonesand and Stoneblack—and many sizes. With one-of-a-kind features like high resistance to footfall, flexure, frost, and temperature fluctuations, Stonetech is a material which remains unaltered over time, making it perfect from a design perspective.

Enticing and top-of-the-line, the components featured in the three collections were inspired by natural elements. “This has always been a characteristic of the porcelain stoneware ceramic product” stated Sara Costi, Casalgrande Padana’s web communications manager “being inspired by natural materials, whether they be wood, stone, marble, or minerals.” “The same holds true for these three collections which all share porcelain stoneware’s trademark technical characteristics and were all freely inspired by these materials.”

Attentive to the stylistic and technical needs of the market, Casalgrande Padana has offered authentic custom-made solutions for over 60 years which allow for the design of beautiful and functional spaces. Their solutions are in line with current trends, focusing on quality and sustainability, and include surfaces which are an integral part of the creative composition.
