A living room with a Scandinavian mood – material warmth

by Elisa Mondani.

Neutral and natural tones, simple and clean lines, and quality materials capable of making the living room bright and welcoming, without compromising on comfort: an aesthetic concept that has entered the realm of contemporary classics.

The Nordic style is a timeless trend of our days, with great expressive potential, born in the 1950s and still today portraying a minimalist and current vision of functional design. Among soft armchairs, wool textiles, and shelves with minimalist design, the Scandinavian mood allows fully embracing the hygge philosophy, a true lifestyle typical of Nordic countries, which centers around a sense of familiarity, hospitality, and comfort capable of filling homes with warmth even in the coldest months.

Inspired by the materiality of terracotta, the Couple coffee table by Muuto comes to life from the union of FSC-certified wood and ceramic stone, similar to porcelain for resistance and durability. The search for tactility is reinforced by the choice of two different tops: a smooth and functional surface or a wavy and sculptural one.
